NAVIC in Guyana: supervision of installation of a mud rheology measurement system

Recently, our team had the opportunity to take part in the supervision, installation, and commissioning of an advanced drilling mud rheology measurement system onboard our client’s drillship.

The vessel is conducting offshore drilling operations in South America, off the coast of Guyana. The mud measurement system, supplied by the Norwegian company Intelligent Mud Solutions, was developed with the contribution of NAVIC Engineering.

The solution enables real-time monitoring of key drilling fluid parameters such as flow rate, pressure, density and viscosity — even remotely. This innovation significantly improves the efficiency of mud engineers’ work and enhances the planning and execution of drilling operations.
